Contributed Rakeback Explained

Contributed Rakeback

There are a few different kinds of rakeback that you can benefit from when you are an online Poker player. Depending on what kind of Poker you like to play and what kind of Poker player you are, contributed rakeback may be the best rakeback option for you. Of course there is also shared rakeback and dealt rakeback to consider when choosing your rakeback deal.

Out of all the different rakeback deals, contributed rakeback is not only the most popular amongst Poker players, but it is also the most common rakeback deal that is offered by internet Poker rooms. Contributed rakeback is pretty simple to understand, plus, we will explain how is works and what kind of players will benefit the most from contributed rakeback.

How Contributed Rakeback Works

As mentioned before, contributed rakeback is pretty simple to understand, although it can be a bit trickier than understanding dealt rakeback, but by the end, you should not only completely understand how it works, but also know whether this is the rakeback deal you need to sign up for.

Contributed rakeback is just like it sounds, you get a percentage of the rake that you contributed into the hand or tournament back. Rake is the percent of each pot that the house takes as their cut, when you are playing ring games, this is always known as rake, but in tournaments, it is also known as the tournament fee. Either way, they are basically the same thing, what the Poker room charges players to play at their Poker room, it is similar to a membership fee, only with rake back, you can get some of the money you pay back in your real money Poker player account.

Unlike other rakeback deals that give you rake back even if you have not contributed anything to the pot, with contributed rakeback, you only get a percentage of the amount that you contributed into the pot back. With contributed rakeback, you will get some of your rake back all depending on how much of the pot you contributed.

If you were one of five players that contributed into the pot all the way to the end, you will have contributed less of a percent of the pot than if it were just you and one other player in the hand. The more you contribute into the pot, the more you will be eligible to get back with contributed rakeback.

Who Should Choose Contributed Rakeback?

Contributed rakeback is not the rakeback deal to choose if you are a tight player that doesn't get into a lot of hands, because you have to be in the hand in order to contribute to it, since you are not likely to be in many hands, or contributing to many pots, you will not make much from a contributed rakeback deal. Actually, contributed rakeback deals are ideal for players that are more aggressive at the table.

If you are a player that not only likes to be in a lot of hands, but likes to take control of the situation, contributed rakeback might be right up your alley. When you are an aggressive player, you are betting more often, causing you to contribute more to the pot. Also, many aggressive players often bet other players out of the pot altogether, giving the aggressor the higher rake contribution percentage.

So if you are not at the stage of your Poker career where you know how to reach out and take control of the table, you may want to look into one of the other great rakeback deals, but if you are an aggressive player, the contributed rakeback option is the most likely successful choice for you.
